My name is Josh.

I lead the experience and creative team at a church in Toronto.

I’d describe myself as a music maker, fader pusher and process builder. In other words, I do stuff in the field of music, production and leadership, all for the local church. My life revolves around this intersection.

If you’re a church leader, I’m sure you relate. You wear many hats, while learning about other hats you’ll eventually wear on the fly. I’ve spent the last seven years serving in in my home church, from intern to senior leadership. It’s a huge honor, but no amount of education, leadership podcasts or coaching could prepare me for the journey that is church leadership.

That’s why I write: to capture moments and share my observations so we can learn together. My hope is that this collection of thoughts will spark some creativity, be a source of encouragement and most of all: help you to know that you’re not alone.
